Eagles are spiritual messengers. They carry people's prayers to the Creator, as they have the ability to fly higher than any other bird. Flying at the highest level, they convey thoughts and prayers. According to Margaret August, "they are considered the highest form of spiritual protection and assistance", and for this reason we "can be sure that the ancestors have heard our prayers."
