This design shows a Coast Salish barred owl flying toward the viewer. The beauty of the owl illuminates the environment it comes into contact with; mostly due to its fascinating abilities to navigate the night. Margaret was inspired by a close encounter with an owl, as shown in this painting. Owl medicine comes to protect those going through a difficult time in their life.

This painting is called “Awakening” because the medicine of owl assists with powerful transformation. This art piece is a helpful reminder that there is light in the darkness.
